Doha – Qatar Minister of Transport HE Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti met here today with Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia HE Mr. Vahan Kerobyan. The two officials reviewed Qatar-Armenia aspects of cooperation in the fields of transportation, and ways to develop them. Qatar’s Ambassador to Armenia HE Mr. Mohammed bin Hamad Al Hajri attended the meeting.
Doha – Qatar Minister of Transport HE Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti and Minister of Commerce and Industry HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al-Thani visited Hamad Port this morning and inspected the operational processes at its container terminals and Control Tower, as well as final-stage construction works at the Strategic Food Security Facilities (SFSF) project. The two ministers were briefed by officials from Mwani Qatar and QTerminals on ports strategy and expansions, and the extent to which Hamad Port and SFSF contribute to supporting the national economy. They also inspected final fittings of the Hamad Port Visitor Center.
The Ministry of Transport has participated in the 78th Session of the International Maritime Organization (IMO)'s Maritime Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) during which IMO Member States work on setting out a revision of the initial IMO Greenhouse Gases (GHG) Strategy.
Doha – Qatar Minister of Transport HE Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti received a written message from Minister of Transport of the Arab Republic of Egypt HE Vice Admiral Eng. Kamel Elwazir, on cooperation between the two brotherly countries in the fields of transportation, ports and civil aviation, and ways of further enhancing it. The message was handed over by Egyptian Ambassador to the State of Qatar HE Amr Kamal El-Din El-Sherbiny, who met with HE Minister Al-Sulaiti in Ministry offices today.

Held in the Ministry’s offices today, the meeting reviewed aspects of cooperation between Qatar and Cote d'Ivoire in the fields of transportation, air transportation and civil aviation, and ways to further enhance them. The meeting was attended by several officials representing the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority, Ambassador of the Republic of Cote d'Ivoire in Doha HE Dr. Cissé Abdul Karim and Air Côte d'Ivoire Chairman General Abdoulaye Coulibaly.

Chester Cooper, Minister of Economic Affairs Hon. Michael B. Halkitis, and Director of Aviation Dr. Rollins Kenneth Romer. Held in the Ministry’s offices today, the meeting reviewed aspects of cooperation between Qatar and The Commonwealth of The Bahamas in the fields of transportation, civil aviation, marine navigation, harbors, and ways to further develop them. The meeting was attended by several officials representing the Ministry of Transport, the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority, in addition to officials escorting the Bahamas delegation.
