Minister Meets with Lesotho Minister of Transport

Montreal – CanadaHE Minister of Transport and Communications Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti met with HE Deputy Minister of Public Works and Transport of the Kingdom of Lesotho HE Mr. Hon. Mokherane Tsatsanyane, in Montreal, Canada, today.The two ministers discussed aspects of cooperation in the fields of transportation services and civil aviation and means of further enhancing them, in addition to a number of matters of common interest between the two friendly countries.Qatar’s Ambassador to Canada HE Mr. Saud bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud and Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Chairman HE Mr. Abdulla bin Nasser Turki Al Subaey attended the meeting.

Qatar, Guyana Sign Air Services Agreement

Montreal – CanadaHE Minister of Transport and Communications Jassim Saif Ahmed Al Sulaiti and Chairman of the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) Board HE Mr. Lawrence London witnessed the signing of an air services agreement between the State of Qatar and the Cooperative Republic of Guyana.The agreement was signed by Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Chairman HE Mr. Abdulla bin Nasser Turki Al Subaey and Director General of GCAA HE Mr. Egbert Field.The agreement will permit Qatar’s national carrier Qatar Airways to operate any number of passenger and cargo flights as well as cooperation between the carriers concerned. It will also permit QA to have an operation center in Guyana to fly to any country in the region and the other regions.

Minister Meets with Spain Development Minister

Montreal – CanadaHE Minister of Transport and Communications Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti met with Spanish Development Minister HE Mr. José Luis Ábalos, in Montreal, Canada, today. The Ministry of Development of Spain is responsible for executing government policies in land, maritime and air transport infrastructure and planning and regulating transportation services. The two ministers discussed aspects of cooperation in the fields of transportation, mobility and ports and means of further enhancing them. They initially agreed to sign MoUs on these fields during the coming period.They also discussed potential investment opportunities and a number of matters of common interest between the two friendly countries.The meeting was attended by Qatar’s Ambassador to Canada HE Mr. Saud bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud and Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Chairman HE Mr. Abdulla bin Nasser Turki Al Subaey.
